Maha Hanuman Utsav - The Singapore Way

The final day of the Utsav was nothing short of magical. With 1,000+ attendees at the Havan, 25 sponsors, and 80 volunteers, the energy at PGP Hall was of pure devotion.

After the collective chanting of the Gita Panchamrit and Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 15), Pujya Swami Swaroopananda ji inspired all with his talk on the spirit of the occasion: 75 years of the Chinmaya Movement, rooted in Pujya Gurudev's vision of Yajna, Seva and Bhakti.

As 21 cycles of the Hanuman Chalisa were sung across 11 Havan kunds, attendees danced, clapped, and embraced in shared devotion.

The Havan concluded with Swamiji's benedictory address, adding the final touch of divinity to a deeply charged, devotional experience. He generously blessed all with knowledge, devotion and inspiration. Just like Veer Hanuman.

None of this would have been possible without the tireless enthusiasm of the volunteers and the unparalleled vision of Swami Avyayananda, Resident Spiritual Guide of the Chinmaya Seva Centre, who meticulously envisioned and planned every detail of the event.

Maha Hanuman Utsav - The Singapore Way

Swami Swaroopananda ji graced Singapore from April 14th to 19th, drenching devotees in knowledge, devotion and inspiration.

Swamiji's five-day discourse, 'Leap to Liberty - The Hanuman Way', packed PGP Hall at Perumal temple, as audiences sat captivated by Swamiji's vivid storytelling centred on Hanuman shlokas and the Gita Panchamrit verses.

Through lesser known stories from Hanuman's life, Swamiji inspired the young and old to identify with Hanuman's wisdom and courage to discover their own potential and live a life of fulfillment and excellence.

By weaving the Gita Panchamrit verses into his discourse, Swamiji encouraged everyone to learn the five verses and become proud ambassadors of our rich Hindu culture. No wonder then that long queues formed at the Gita Panchamrit booth, where devotees recited all five shlokas to receive their Geeta Doota badges!

There was something quietly powerful in the air at PGP Hall, Singapore during the talk series ‘Leap to Liberty - The Hanuman Way’.

It was a coming together of hearts, voices, and generations, all drawn to the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.

As part of Chinmaya Mission’s 75 years celebrations, Gita Panchamrit unfolded as a simple yet profound sadhana: five shlokas, each carrying a universe of meaning. What made it truly special was not just the chanting, but the spirit behind it.

A 6-year-old, our youngest Gita Ambassador (Doota), Vinay, stood with confidence and innocence, while Georgina Fong, a Chinese Singaporean, earned her Gita Doota badge with equal devotion. Between them stood many others, young and old, each discovering their own connection to the Bhagavad Gita.

Languages, backgrounds, and ages faded. What echoed was a shared rhythm and a gentle reminder that the Gita is not just to be read, but to be lived.

Gita Panchamrit is more than an initiative. It is an invitation to pause, reflect, and bring a little more clarity, purpose, and devotion into our daily lives.
