Chinmaya Kesari (Seva Centre) Singapore, established in 1996, is a part of the global Chinmaya Mission, a non-profit organization with a dedication to sharing the wisdom found in India’s original scriptural texts. The Mission was initiated by H.H Swami Chinmayananda, a trailblazer who reinvigorated the study of ancient Vedic texts, making their profound principles accessible to the general public. He led Singapore’s inaugural Geeta Gyaana Yagna in 1967, and his vision lives on through a lineage of skilled spiritual teachers.
Under the guidance of the present spiritual leader, Swami Tejomayananda, the Chinmaya Mission has a presence in over 250 centers around the world. This includes 89 Chinmaya Schools (81 in India + 8 in Trinidad and Tobago), 9 Chinmaya Colleges, 1 Nursing Institute, 1 University, numerous temples, ashrams, research institutes, as well as diverse social, cultural, educational, religious, and spiritual initiatives, including programs for empowering women.
In Singapore, we provide various classes for spiritual growth and personal development for all age groups, aligned with the Mission’s motto of bringing maximal happiness to the greatest number of people for the longest duration. The activities of Chinmaya Kesari (CSC) concentrate on both nurturing spiritual advancement and serving the community.
